Club Hillclimb 4th October 2009
Course: Newnham Hill KH35
After a break of 12 years the attempt to re-introduce a club hillclimb proved disappointing, with 9 riders taking part of whom only 5 were club members. At least it gave Richard Kenworthy a chance of success, where his high power-weight ratio gave him maximum advantage. Octogenarian Ken Rushall surprised us all by taking part and he achieved his aim of climbing the hill in less than 5 minutes.
