4-HOUR TIME TRIAL

K11/4Hr Course & Distances:

From Dunchurch proceed to island, take 2nd exit to follow B4429 (Ashlawn Rd). Turn right at Hillmorton Paddox junction onto A428 and proceed to Half-Way House (PH). 5.4
Turn left at island (1st exit) onto A5 and follow A5 over 2 islands to Cross-in-Hand island (SP Lutterworth-Magna Park). 12.7
Take 2nd exit from island and follow unclassified road towards Wolvey. Encircle island at Axe & Compass (PH), leaving by 5th exit to retrace. 18.2
Return on unclassified road to Cross-in-Hand island. Take 3rd exit to follow A5 (South) 23.7
Retrace down A5 to island at A5 split. Take 2nd exit and proceed to next island at Half-Way House (PH). Take 3rd exit on A428 towards Rugby. 31.4
Retrace along A428. Bear left at Hillmorton Paddox junction taking B4429 (Ashlawn Rd) to Dunchurch. 37.25
In Dunchurch turn left at junction using slip-road, thus avoiding traffic lights. Proceed along A45 through Willoughby & Braunston towards Daventry. Encircle 2nd (Timken) island. 44.5
Retrace along A45 through Braunston to Willoughby. 48.3
At Willoughby turn left into Main St. (unclassified road) and proceed through village to Sawbridge. At Sawbridge (T-junction) turn right (SP Grandborough) onto finishing circuit 50
Proceed towards Grandborough. Turn left after Shoulder of Mutton (PH) in Grandborough (SP Southam) then bear right to reach A426 (T-junction). Turn left onto A426 (take care) and then 1st left (SP Flecknoe). Proceed approx 3 miles to T-junction and turn left to Sawbridge. Continue on finishing circuit until completion of 4 hours 7.25 per lap

Prizes (Rugby RCC members):
1st Place £10, 2nd Place £7, 3rd Place £5, Best Lady £5, Best Veteran £5, Handicap £5, Vet on Std £5 (Max 1 prize per rider).4-Hour distances, combined with best times from this season's 10 miles and 25 mile events, will also be used in calculating the 2006 Best-all-Rounder (club events).
Please Note:Riders must enter the finishing circuit within their 4 hours to qualify as a finisher.
Private entries are welcome and the organisers may award an additional prize to the best private trialist, subject to number of entries.
As this is a club event marshals will not be posted on the course.
Riders are responsible for their own safety and navigation.

Timing:
Timekeepers will be posted around the finishing circuit. After completion of their 4 hours riders should continue to the next timing point, thus enabling the distance covered at their 4 hour mark to be calculated.

Results:
The organisers aim to declare provisional results within 1 hour of the last rider finishing. When confirmed, official results will be posted on the club website.
