Results for 1st June 2005 - Course: K3/10N - Shortened to 7.2 miles

After a rainy day only about half the usual entry turned out, although the evening was dry but windy. Temporary traffic lights in Napton meant that we couldn't use the Lower Shuckburgh start, so the start was moved to the other side of Napton. To put some distance back into the course two loops of the Southam by-pass section were included, so the total distance was 7.2 miles. This meant that we could at least run an event without venturing off the approved course. And the result? Another win for Hywel Davies, just edging out Colin Stiles by 4 seconds. The revised distance meant that handicaps for our 7.25 course existed and were up to date, with Craig Middleton's continuing progress giving him a clear win.
