Results for 15th June 2005 - Course: K3/10N - Shortened to 7.2 miles
Once again we had problems on this course which normally starts at Lower Shuckburgh. An accident between a car and a motorcycle occurred on the crossroads at Napton at 6.30 pm, resulting in a temporary closure of the A425. It looked a serious accident, although we gather the motorcyclist was conscious as he was taken to hospital. After some delay we were able to move our start by skirting around Napton to the point where we started two weeks earlier, reducing our event to 7.2 miles. We got started at about 7.20, with 19 riders taking part. It resulted in the now familiar 1, 2, 3 finishing order, with Hywel Davies recording 16.12, just a second slower than his time of two weeks ago. It had rained earlier in the day, but the course was dry, if rather chilly.
