Provisional Results for 1st April 2009 - Course: K11/5 Willoughby

With an exceptionally large entry there's been some improvisation to get the results here - the handicap and points will have to follow later. In all 59 riders took part, including 11 new members, 5 of whom joined on the night and 10 private trialists (or should we call them 'guest riders'?). There were some scary moments as a large lorry collecting milk from the farm came down the lane to Willoughby in the opposite direction to the riders. Elsewhere Steve Whitington had a close encounter with a jeep - he injured his hand, but it could have been much worse. Fastest time was set by Hywel Davies and it looks like being a closely fought season between he and James Heaton who was missing due to work commitments last night. Dave Overton and Colin Stiles rode a tandem to equal Hywel's time, then Dave Overton rode a solo as last man off to record second best club time of the evening.
