note:
The courses
we hope to use for the 2014 season are something of an unknown quantity owing
to the roadworks at the Toll Bar Island which are set to continue for 3 years.
At this stage the likely disruption arising from road closures, diversions
or tail-backs cannot be assessed, even the Highways Agency is not entirely
sure. It could mean we are unable to ride some of our TT courses which use
sections of the A45 dual carriageway, on the other hand there
may be little impact a mile or so back from the roadworks. Where disruption
is possible we've nominated a reserve course, with police permission obtained
for both. It's been assumed that the traditional 25-mile course which loops
around the old Peugeot site will definitely be unavailable, so our four 25-mile
events are all set to run on the K10/25B (the one which loops twice round
the Ryton & Thurlaston islands). In case this course is unavailable we
have a reserve course, the K10/25K, which starts from Kites Hardwick (more
details later). For 10-mile courses affected we've nominated as reserve the
K11/10D in every case.
We will try and notify everyone through the website, so please keep a sharp eye on any messages posted there before events.
