Volunteering
At the start of the season the committee indicated that more volunteers were required to help run club events, particularly as the authorities were suggesting we should have marshals at critical points on our courses. This was particularly relevant to Rugby RCC as we have fairly large entries. As it's mid-season this seems to be a good time to take a look at the situation to see how it's working. As well as marshalling we have needed help with pushing-off and sometimes timekeeping. Anyone can register their willingness by entering their name for future events on a list kept with the signing-on board. As a guideline we reckoned that riders should make one volunteering session for every 10 rides. We exempted juniors from this, or new members joining this year. Here's the position up to and including the event on 2nd July:
