Wattbike Sessions at Lutterworth
Week 5 - 17th February 2015
Race Report
Each week the
intervals get longer and the rests shorter, and this week was no exception with
3 minutes at tempo followed immediately by 7 minutes in Z4 to start the bulk
of the session. This made for interesting racing as legs were tired and it was
a battle of recovery and wills. Riders were split, with some digging deep and
actually improving on their times from the same distance two weeks ago whilst
most were unable to match their previous times after the intense session. It
was telling for Simon Hall who for the first time takes the win, digging really
deep to take an impressive 4 seconds off his previous best and pushing Dave
Elliott into second. Dave was just 0.4 seconds behind Simon but 4 seconds slower
than his last time out.
