Persistent rain depleted the earlier bookings from 44 to just 22 at the start, although the event remained rain-free even though roads were awash in the centre of Rugby. Craig McKee again dominated the club competition with another convincing win, but the fastest time of the night was set by guest rider and national 10-mile champion Richard Bussell, who clocked 49-04. Conditions were far from ideal and Richard Bussell's time was over half a minute off Matt Clinton's two year old course record of 48-27. The event's unluckiest riders were Jim Lacey and Luke Pugh who both clocked just one second over the hour.
